August Already?

It's August 1st already as the summer seems to be wipping by.  It seems only yesterday that I was starting work on my book, trying to figure out what characters to write for and what to name them along with coming up with a process, but that was 5 months ago.  For someone with a full time job I think I've done good in reaching 70,000 words in that short time span.

Two weeks ago, I started a spreadsheet detailing my Dailiy word count along with a Weekly and Monthly count.  The sheet also shows me my total words along with how many pages I've completed if the word per page count is 200, 300 and 370.  This may not sound like anything innovative or astonishing, but I have found it to be a useful tool as now I want to write everyday to increase my numbers.  I am a person who loves statistics and I wish I started this a long time ago.  Since I started using it two weeks ago, I've written 13,000 words.  My aim is to write 5000 a week or 1000 a day over a five day period, but last week my count was 8000.  It also pushes me to strive to beat the day or week before and write as much as I possibly can.
