2/3 Finished

Yesterday I finished off the Myra storyline.  It was supposed to be only 8 chapters, but ideas kept flowing so in the end, it became 10.  To completely finish off this storyline I still have to complete the Epilogue which ties into her storyline.

That tracking sheet has been phenominal.  Sinve I've started tracking my progress on July 21, I've written over 24,000 words.  As it stands today, I'm over the 80,000 mark with 13 chapters still to write and that's only if I stick to my storylines.  Currently, the book would have 37 chapters, but I'd like to get that number to 40 if I could, which would put me closer to the 132,000 word mark.  It's funny when I look back at my original goal of 30,000 as I have nearly 3 times that much.  Next it was 90,000, then 100,000, then 120,000 and now I'm looking at 132,000.  Funny how that works.  Still, I'm hoping to have the first draft completed by the end of the year.  After that, I'll do a re write to expand on any scenes I feel need work as well as my descriptions and tension and then after that, a final edit before I try and submit to publishers.  I don't have super high hopes for being picked up as I'm really doing this for myself becasue I've always wanted to say I've written a book.  If I could say, I had a book published, that would be even better, but I'm not gonna hold my breath and get my hopes up.

Anyways, I've been quite productive lately and hope to keep up my current pace, though I'm a little nervous about continuing on with a new character.  I hope the ideas will continue to flow and my writing doesn't become stale and repetative.
