Getting There

The summer has been quite hot so far, and with no air conditioning in our house, the place feels some what stuffy at times.  We've had a good summer so far.  I had two weeks off in which I wrote a bit and went to Williamsburg Virginia.  It took us 17 hours to get there because of the July 4th long weekend traffic.  There was an accident on the I-95 that caused a two hour delay.  It was freaking hot and the traffic was at a dead stop.  Everyone was out of their cars, milling around.  We met some interesting people that day and it was an interesting experince, though I wouldn't want it to happen again.

We've also been catching up on our shows.  We finised Dead Set, Black Books (Which was brilliant) and The Inbetweeners.  (Also Brilliant)  We have also finally finished the 4th seasons of 30 and Big Bang Theory.  I think we are now going to try and clean up our other shows that we started, such as Sopranos, Legend of the Seeker and Life on Mars before we start anything new.  (But that probably won't happen)

I have continued to write, though being so busy, my pace has slowed.  I'm now over half done the second character, Myra and have reached a total word count of 62,000.  If things continue, I could be well over 120,000 words, which I think would be a substancial amount for ones first book.
