Sports Fan

Now I remember why I didn't get any reading or writing done at this time last year.  February held the memorable Olympics in Canada where, of course every one remember we won the gold in hockey courtisey of Sydney Crosby's OT magic.  The next month held the NCAA March Madness tournment, so again nothing got done.  Of course in april is the NHL Playoffs.  Those lasted until June and last year held the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.  So you see, being such a sports fan has really hindered me from all the reading and writing that I should have done.  I don't know how I became such a sports fan, but it's something I can't change.  As I write this, I am watching the Notre Dame vs Flordia State 3rd round game and my team, ND, is currently down 23-16.  I hope they can turn it around.

With April coming, I will probably once again be pulled into the NHL Playoffs and for the next few weeks, March Madness will hold sway.  It's a good thing that there is no World Cup this year, but next year will be the Euro's.  I have made a promise to myself that I will make time to read and write and it is one I intend to keep.  Come on ND.
