I've been busy, not all of it writing, but I have managed to finish one of the four novellas that comprise Kallodhan. It is currently being reviewed by my cousin and I'm hoping their are only a few minor changes before I put it for sale on Amazon.
I've also been busy listening to a lot of music. I've come across some pretty awesome bands lately, all metal of course. One of my current favourites is Be'lakor, a death metal band from Australia. I don't know what it is about them, but they just seem vastly more talented than most other Melodic Death Metal bands. They have a new disc coming out June 1st which I can't wait to get my hands on. I've also come across a Black Metal band from Taiwan called Chthonic. (The CH is silent) I've been addicted to their latest outing as it combines heavy guitars, varied vocals (Death, Black metal shrieks) as well as traditional folk instruments such as the Oriental Violin. The video for broken jade is pretty awesome by metal standards. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heF_NPJbv8Y
We haven't watched much TV lately, but did manage to watch both season of Sherlock. It is a BBC show that takes original Sherlock stories and updates them in the modern world. There are only three episodes per season, but each episode is an hour and a half. It was probably one of the best shows I've seen in a while, and I'm hoping for a third season, which I heard won't be into production until early 2013. That's probably because Martin Freeman, who plays Watson, is also busy filming the Hobbit.
Anyways, I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere with editing and I'm hoping to whip through another novella soon. The one I did edit is actually the longest at 14 chapters and just over 47,000 words.
