I know it's been a while and I said I would write more in my blog, but the truth is, I've spent alot of time actually writing the book. Last week was an extremely productive week. I wrote over 8000 words and I'm closing in on my halfway mark of 50,000 words. Currently I stand at 46,000.
I have also taking to writing for one charcter at a time. I decide to focus on a character called Yeino. I have 6 completed chapters and am currenly halfway through the seventh. I plan on having 8, so I am close to finishing off my first full character arc. From there, I will have to decide who to write for next. Currently, I'm leaning toward Myra, but I think that Eryk will be one of the most important characters for his storyline will indirectly connect all others, so perhaps it's best I save him for last.
Other than writing, I've been watching alot of TV. We watched a show called Community which is freaking brilliant and I think we will be moving on to one called Black Books next. We also have The Inbetweeners, Dead Set, Big Bang Theory Season 4, Modern Family, 30 Rock Seasons 4 & 5, Mad Men, Life on Mars, Legend of the Seeker and Breaking Bad to get to. So we have lots to keep us occupied over the rainy summer days.
I am also disappointed that the first season of Game of Thrones is coming to an end. There is only 1 episode left. It seemed like not too long ago that I was writing about how I couldn't wait for that show. It's been excellent so far and very faithful to the book. Some things are different, but nothing major, and that's to be expected anyways. It's been picked up for a second season, so now I have that to look forward to.
I have finally finished the most recent book in the series (A Feast for Crows) and was excited to hear that the next installment (A Dance with Dragons) is due out in July. I wasn't expecting it until after christmas, so that was definately some good news.
Other than that, I've been watching the Stanley Cup Finals and am disappointed it is going to a game 7. I was hoping Vancouver could end it early, but thats how it goes. Anyways, game 7 wednesday night should be awsome no matter what happens. Go Canucks.
