So last night during the BYU game, I started a new Prologue as I said I would in an earlier post. I am happy with it, but have had no other opinions so far. Usually only 2 people are allowed to read my unfinished work and they are my Fiance and my mom. The new prologue follows a character named Dagis. It does a much better job of setting up the main storyline and is longer than any chapter I have written so far coming in at 3300 words.
I have also decided to expand my chapters. I feel they move to quickly and are in need of proper pacing. I am not sure if I will be able to just re organize them or if I will have to completely re write them. )I am hoping for the former rather than the latter.) So even with the NCAA games returning and a late night Leaf game, I still managed to concoct a chapter that I am proud of.
Again, As I seem to be doing quite often, I have re arranged my goals regarding the book. For my first book, I am aiming for 20 chapters at a word count around 3500. This book will focus on characters in the North section of my world while a second book of similar size will focus on characters in the south. I will release them separately and eventually converge them into a single book for submission to publishers. The last thing I have to do is set myself a proper and realistic deadline for the first book and move things along from there.
