Where Shadows go to Die

I've been working on a few different projects theses days.  Mostly I've been concentrating on the second and third Kallodhan books, but I've also started a new project.  It's a Western Horror called Where Shadows go to Die.  Below is the premise:

Bloodless Joe was once the most feared outlaw in the west… until he disappeared.  No one knew what happened to him and most didn’t care.  They were glad he was gone and prayed that he was dead, but he was something much worse.

Joe finds himself stranded alone in the desert with no memory of how he got there.  The last thing he remembers is killing one of the only people he ever liked.  He can recall pieces of his old life and knows he was once a brutal man, but something is stopping him from reverting to his old ways.

He begins his search to find out what happened to him, but is attacked by forces he’d never known before… emotions.  New feelings creep up on him, such as fear and paranoia.  He will have to push through each new emotion if he is to discover what happened to Bloodless Joe and answer the question, who am I now?

So far, seven chapters have been completed and I may be posting the first one soon.  I'm working towards an 80,000 word standalone book and so far, I'm about a quarter way there.
